Covid-19 Update and Luxe Brow Studio Plan

Businesses are slowly opening back up, but these are still confusing, and uncertain times. All we can do is control our immediate environment and hope the places we do visit are taking great care to keep everyone safe as well. I want to assure you that at Luxe Brow Studio our principal concern is the safety of our clients, and will be taking steps to ensure this safety.

Clients coming to their appointments will be required to wear a mask. Prior to entering the premises, forehead temperature will be assessed using a contactless infrared thermometer, and clients will be required to use hand sanitizer. In addition to the usual practices that ensure the safety of our clients, I will be wearing an medical mask during appointments. Finally, to provide adequate time to clean all surfaces with a heavy duty germicidal I am currently booking no more than 2 clients per day.

During this time, there is an inherent risk in leaving your home and it is important that you are aware and accept the risk that you are taking. Please download and sign the Covid-19 Informed Consent Form and bring it with you to your appointment. If you do not have a printer I will have a copy for you.

Finally, to best protect my clients and the community's health please do not come to your appointment if you you have traveled in the last 14 days or are feeling ill and/or have any of the following symptoms:

  • fever or low grade temperature

  • chills

  • sore throat

  • fatigue

  • malaise

  • shortness of breath

  • cough

  • upset stomach

  • nausea

  • vomiting

  • diarrhea

I am currently waiving cancellation fees, so if you feel sick, please stay home.

If you are unsure if right now is the time to have a service but you are thinking about any of the services I offer, please contact me! Phone consultations are always free and I have plenty of time to answer any and all of your permanent makeup questions and to shape up your brow dreams and goals into a plan :)

Thank you again for your patience and support as we work through these challenging times together.

Stay safe and well!

Your brow, eyeliner, & lip therapist,

Sophia

Aquarelle Lips

OOOOOO La la! Lips are here! I have recently added the gorgeous Aquarelle technique to the menu (however current CDC guidleines do not recommend elective services that require removal of a mask at this time, so this service is temporarily on hold).

Like the French watercolor method, the Aquarelle technique achieves a natural lip tint to give color to the lips with a gradient effect that creates a voluminous look that will last 3-5 years.

If you have:

Undefined lips

Irregular shape

Lightly colored lips

Some discoloration

...then Aquarelle lips are for you

Send your contact details for additional information on this lip blush technique.

Also, I want to hear from you! Tell me what's the biggest drag on your morning makeup routine! I want to know.

MUAH!

Love your brow, eyeliner, & lip therapist,

Sophia

Step 1: Find the beginning of your brow. The head of the brow typically begins above the inner corner of your eye. Hold the brow pencil parallel to the side of your nostril to show where the beginning is (1). If you have a wider nose you must account for this feature pushing the pencil further out, so be sure to bring it in just a smidge closer towards your nose. Many people need more to the head of the brow.

Step 2: Find where your arch is (2). I love this part because it's fun playing with raising and lowering the height of the arch. While looking straight ahead line up your pencil diagonally from the outside of the nostril to the outer part of your pupil.

Step 3: Find the end of the tail (3). The tails lie on the same "line" as the head of the brow. Never have the tail of your brow lower than the head. A lower tail makes for a sad or worried look.

Pro tips:

  • For a classic and modern brow size try 1cm or 1/2 inch thick. This medium size suits most people.

  • Try creating 2 parallel lines with the bottom line tapering only slightly up to the bottom of the arch (2).

  • Thinner brows also known as "Pin Brows" are most reminiscent of the overplucked 80's and 90's look. This style tends to age people.

  • Grow those brow hairs in! Don't be afraid of a bushy brow. A natural look will always be in!

If you would like to explore the right brow shape for your facial features, schedule a free consult. Send your contact details and I will be in touch with you!

Put that brow pencil to work, but stop struggling to do so.
